Ladbrokes Casino: bonus rules that really do put the rest of the gambling industry to shame

Ladbrokes casino has a signup bonus like none other I'm currently aware of in the entire online gambling industry: it is impossible to breach the terms and conditions of the bonus in such a way as to result in the seizure by the casino of any winnings.

In my 32Red shows the way article earlier this year I described the precision and fairness of 32Red's bonus rules. This is still true, although 32Red has now made the rules quite a lot harder from a player perspective. However, those rules are breakable, and although this would not result in funds' confiscation it would still be a substantial nuisance for the player.

Ladbrokes, on the other hand, has the perfect signup bonus. The rules cannot be broken, and as such, the player can never be abused.

Here are the welcome bonus rules (abridged below):

Casino Welcome Bonus Explained.

Welcome Bonus Steps:

1. Register at Ladbrokescasino.com. Or existing Ladbrokes customers, just go to step 2.

2. Deposit between €/£5 and €/£100. Existing Ladbrokes players need to make a fresh deposit and transfer a minimum of €/£5 into the casino wallet.

3. Play through your initial deposit once.

4. Fill out the claim form on the welcome bonus page.

5. Upon completion of the above, your 100% welcome bonus will be credited to your bonus balance within 48 hours.

6. The welcome bonus needs to be turned over 10x before it can be transferred into the cash balance or withdrawn.

Qualifying Games:
Not all casino games contribute the same amount to the turnover requirement. Check what games contribute and by how much in the table below.

It's as simple as that. Deposit, wager deposit, claim bonus, wager bonus.

Examination of the casino general terms and conditions is another revelation:

No hidden bonus terms.

No "we reserve the right..." terms.

No "you may only bet 25% of the bonus" terms.

No "the spirit of the bonus must be observed" terms.

All relevant terms are clearly and super-simply listed where they should be, alongside the bonus offer.

In fact, the only problem with this bonus is at the casino end: it's beatable in its current format - the contribution percentage chart needs to be tightened up, and the bonus should really be offered post-wager if they're going to do without the betsize limitation so beloved of all other Microgaming casinos.

However, purely from a player perspective, this new player freebie really does put the rest of the industry to shame, as there is no possibility of the player inadvertently breaking the rules and having funds stolen.

What a shame that out of a stable of, I think, around 150 Microgaming casinos all told, and probably nearer five thousand casinos industry-wide, this is the only one which behaves like a genuine real-world business and treats its customers properly.

As such, Ladbrokes is either a stellar representative of the industry, or its most damning indictment. It depends which way you see it.

But either way: way to go, Ladbrokes.

I have seen Ladbrokes terms I don't like very much over the years.

My opinion is that if Ladbrokes bookmakers are rogue, unpromotable, or unplayable due to rogue terms, you might aswell shut down online, and onland gaming for good.

Ladbrokes - Representative, not endictment.
